We are thrilled to invite writers and poets to contribute for online publication on www.literarylatitude.com. This collection aims to explore themes of society, environment, gender, education, religion, and humanism through diverse creative expressions.
Concept Note
In a world grappling with rapid changes and complex challenges, literature serves as a beacon that illuminates the human condition. This anthology seeks to gather voices that delve into the intricacies of our society, reflect on environmental concerns, delineate the issues of gender based identity, critique educational paradigms, explore the depths of religious beliefs, the heterogeneity of cultural practices, food cultures, plant imaginaries, human-nonhuman entanglements, speculative futures, comparative philosophy, aesthetics, orality and folk practices, media and culture, and celebrate the essence of humanism. We believe that poems, essays, plays, dialogues, arts, performances and stories are powerful mediums to provoke thought, inspire dialogue, and foster a deeper understanding of the world around us. By bringing together a mosaic of perspectives, we hope to create a platform that not only entertains but also enlightens and empowers readers to contemplate and engage with these pivotal themes. We are also inviting translations of creative and critical pieces from any Indian language (with due copyright permission from the original authors/publishers by translators) in English or Hindi language.
Submission Guidelines:
- Genres Accepted: Poems, essays, and stories in English and Hindi.
- Length: Submissions should be formatted in 12-point font and nothing more than 3000 words each.
- Themes: Please ensure your work aligns with the following themes: society, environment, gender, education, religion, and humanism.
- Originality: All submissions must be original and unpublished.
- Review: All submissions will be reviewed by our editorial team before they are published.
- Bio Note: Include a short bio note of approximately 150 words with your submission.
- Add a caption of about 50 words in each image submission in order to describe the main theme to the readers.
- Subscription Fee: A nominal fee of 200 INR for one submission or 1000 INR for ten submissions in a year. A yearly subscription can also be purchased at 3000 INR for fifty submissions in a year. This price is available till March 31, 2027 only.
- Editorial Rights: Inclusion of submissions will be at the sole discretion of the editors. Adult, pornographic, communal, and politically controversial posts will not be published.
